🚀 A New Chapter Begins
Today we're excited to officially announce that development of HBM: Hamster Reloaded for Minecraft 1.21.11 has officially begun.
After years of development on Minecraft 1.12.2, we're now embarking on our biggest undertaking yet—a complete rebuild designed specifically for modern versions of Minecraft.
⚙️ Why 1.21.11?
Minecraft has changed dramatically since 1.12.2. New systems, improved performance and modern modding tools allow us to create a much better experience than ever before.
Rather than simply updating the existing codebase, we're rebuilding HBM:HR from the ground up using modern development practices to ensure the project can continue growing for years to come.
🔨 Built From The Ground Up
This isn't just a compatibility update.
Many of the original systems are being rewritten to improve performance, maintainability and future expansion.
Current development includes:

- New block and item registration systems
- Completely updated materials
- Improved world generation
- Redesigned textures and assets
- A rewritten radiation framework

Our goal is to preserve everything that made HBM:HR enjoyable while bringing it into modern Minecraft.

🎨 A Fresh Look
As part of the rebuild, many textures and models are being recreated to better match the style of modern Minecraft while still maintaining the industrial feel that defines HBM: Hamster Reloaded.
Development has already begun on new ores, materials and item textures, including Uranium, Lead and Steel.
📅 Development Status
Status: Early Development
Current work is focused on building the foundations of the mod before moving onto machinery, radiation systems and larger gameplay mechanics.
This approach will provide a much stronger base for future updates and allow new features to be added far more efficiently.
